The B2B handover, step by step
🎛️

DJ A — On Air

You're the primary. Your audio goes straight to the audience. When you're ready to hand off, DJ B queues up a branch — you hear their incoming mix and decide when to flip.

🎚️

DJ B — Branching In

You join the hub and listen to DJ A's stream. Mix your own track against it, then request to take the primary. Once DJ A flips, you're on air.

Open the app & pick your audio device

Launch B2B2B2B2B. It scans all connected interfaces — your mixer, soundcard, or built-in audio. Pick the one you're DJing through.

Set your input channels (what you're sending) and your output channels (what you want to monitor).

Got a multi-channel interface? You can pick individual channels — not just stereo pairs.

Connect to a hub

The ATC directory lists all active hubs. Tap one to connect — no IP addresses needed. Your B2B2B2B2B client fetches the hub endpoint automatically.

Both DJs must connect to the same hub. The hub owner's name is shown on each card.

Running your own hub? Register it on the ATC dashboard and share the session name with your B2B partner.

DJ A goes live

DJ A hits Go Live. Their audio streams from the soundcard through the hub to the audience. The signal indicator goes green and the hub confirms the connection.

There's a short startup buffer so the audience gets a smooth entry — giving you a moment to roll before anyone hears a thing.

DJ B joins and listens in

DJ B connects to the same hub and switches to Listen mode. DJ A's stream comes through on their monitor — they can hear exactly what the audience is hearing, in real time.

From here, DJ B gets their tracks ready and starts building into the mix on their own decks.

Multiple DJs can be on the hub at once — everyone listening, queuing up for their turn.

DJ B requests the takeover

When DJ B is ready, they hit Request Takeover. Behind the scenes, some magic happens to lock the two streams together at exactly the right moment.

DJ A: just let your record play. Listen back on your HUB IN channel and you'll hear DJ B's mix blending in. When you're happy, hit Hand Over to make it official.

DJ A stays in control of the timing — the flip only happens when they say so.

DJ B is live — the baton passes

The hub switches the audience feed to DJ B. Everyone — the audience and any other DJs on the hub — now receives DJ B's stream as the primary.

DJ A steps back into listen mode. Any other DJs waiting start taking their feed from DJ B, ready to branch off them next.

The cycle repeats — DJ B is now DJ A. Anyone can request the next handover.
